Post 7: What is your favourite book ?
Hi readers!
Today is the turn of a special topic, because is for the one's who really love books, if you read the other entrance, about my favourite movie, then you could guess that is "The Lord of the rings", but i don't want to talk about it because i already did; besides, this book is fantastic.
So, for this reason, i'm going to talk about my second favourite book, "Perfume: The story of a Murderer" by Patrick Süskind. This book is a famous novel published in 1985, and immediately becomes a bestseller, but a really good best seller, not like; for example, "The fifty shades of Grey".
This history will take you away to the France of the XVIII century. A weird man call Jean Baptiste Grenuille has an incredible powerful sense of smell, that drives him crazy and obsessive. In his travel to find and create the perfect odor, he would do anything, even kill.
This book has the power of the expectation, you start reading this novel thinking that is just a simple pocket book, but then, keeps you excited to read more, you have for one side, the endless details and the amazing descriptions; on the other hand, the wonderful characters (specially the protagonist)and the high quality writing, in adition of this, i think is incredible how the writer can describes in words a sense so complex like the smell, really overwhelming (in good sense).
I knew this book for a recommendation of a friend in school that lent it to me, one of the best recommendations ever!.
So i hope you enjoy this entrance about, at this point, a classic novel of the XX century.
I believe that just this book is way better built than all CSI's and Law and Order's episodes together, it scared the .... out of me, such a psychopath....
